But when one of their number is murdered by adversary Jean Vilain (Jean-Claude Van Damme), the team's quest for revenge finds them pitted against an unexpected rival. In 'The Expendables 3' (2014) Barney Ross (Stallone) comes face-to-face with old nemesis Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson), with whom he originally formed the group of mercenaries known as the Expendables. However, when Stonebanks turned into a dangerous arms trader, Barney had no choice but to take him out and believed him to be dead - until now. In 'The Clarion Call' a policeman (Dale Robertson) faces a moral dilemma when he realises that his friend (Richard Widmark) is a killer. In 'The Last Leaf' a young woman (Jean Peters) approaches her artist neighbour (Gregory Ratoff) to help save her dying sister (Anne Baxter). In 'The Ransom of Red Chief' two swindlers (Fred Allen and Oscar Levant) kidnap a boy and hold him for ransom. A truce is called, and the two men become firm friends. However, things soon get out of hand as the monster breaks free and sets out on a murderous rampage around the castle. Dr Roger Bentley (John Agar) and Dr Jud Belamin (Hugh Beaumont) become trapped beneath the ground with this peculiar race of people, who are so sensitive to light that it can kill them. The albinos worship the Eye of Ishtar and think that Bentley and Belamin have been sent by the Eye itself. As a gift they give Bentley an attractive slave woman.
